This policy explains what Fort Fox LLC (“Fort Fox”, “we” or “I”) collects when you use this website or ask for a walkthrough, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
The short version
We collect what you choose to tell us so we can plan and quote your move. We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
What we collect
When you request a walkthrough, we receive what you enter in the form:
- your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number;
- the kind of move, where you're moving from and to, and your timing;
- who referred you, and anything else you choose to tell us;
- for a business move, the name of the business and the size of the team;
- if you're arranging a move for someone else, their name and phone number;
- if you're an agent introducing a client, your client's name and contact details, which you confirm they're happy for us to use.
If you go ahead, we also keep what you share during the walkthrough and the move itself, such as addresses, an inventory of belongings and access details for your homes.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to run the site and keep it secure.
How we use it
- to reply to you, arrange your walkthrough and prepare your plan and quote;
- to carry out your move and keep you, and anyone you ask us to, informed;
- to keep the records a moving company is required to keep;
- to improve this website.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where we need to:
- with the services that run our business, such as website hosting, email and form delivery;
- with the crews and vendors working on your move, limited to what they need to do their part;
- when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and for as long as we're required to keep business records.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we aren't required to keep it.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable care to protect your information, and we only give access to the people who need it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
